The American Declaration of Independence has been called one of the greatest documents ever created. It signifies, literally, the birth of America.

A short while ago, I was looking for a copy of the Declaration of Independence to frame and hang on the wall in my home. I went to several bookstores; no one had it. I went to Office supply stores; no one had it. I went to art supply stores, Art print stores, educational supply stores, Printers, and printer supply stores; no one had it. I was able to find, direct from the government, a copy on a 2 by 3 ft. poster paper. It was not the kind of thing you would want to display in your home.

My journey took me to the internet. There I was able to find a couple of places where I could purchase a nice printed copy of the Declaration of Independence. One place wanted $300.00. One place wanted $180.00. One place only wanted $60.00, and they were not an American company. I didn't think the average American is prepared to shell out this kind of money. While I was investigating this, I noticed something else. I was at my child's school for Parent/Teacher conferences. I asked them, "where is your copy of the Declaration of Independence displayed?" They looked at me like I was from Outer Space. I checked at my local government office and asked the same thing. They didn't have one. I checked at the local Post Office and Public Libraries…they don't have them either.

What's wrong with this picture?

Why is the one of the greatest documents ever produced almost impossible to find? The document that declares our intent on freedom is practically no where to be found?

I wanted to create something that was an excellent reproduction, and was within a price range that all Americans could take advantage of. Something you could display proudly without dipping into your children's college fund to do it, and I have succeeded.

The reproduction I have here is based upon the William Stone engraving of 1823. It is the one most commonly recognized in America. The document is on 18" by 24" parchment paper. Printed by American craftsmen. It will make a wonderful display, a marvelous gift, and something anyone can enjoy. Buy a copy for your local School or government building, or Public Library. Send one to your Senator to remind them why they are there. But, most of all, display it proudly, for our children and our children's children. Thank you. And, God Bless America.

To the innocents who were attacked,

And those who ran to the rescue, never to return,

We will not forget
